Ok so just got back from three divine days in the Yarra Valley with my partner Chris and seem to be suffering the post holiday blues. To top all that off not feeling all that well either so a night in is on the cards. Have been welcomed back at Chris' home with an absolutely delicious meatball dinner and some cuddles from Sam. Don't start me on Sam though, he deserves his own separate blog post.
While away, we enjoyed some well-deserved quiet time....movies, cuddles, reading and we even cooked our first meal together. Guess what?? It was a success!! The little fireplace proved quite challenging for us....we managed to keep the fire going for a day or so and then our skills failed. We still managed to keep warm and the shower was just divine.
On our last night we went out to dinner at a beautiful local restaurant/winery ~ can't describe how happy I was at that moment and Chris was content too. We went back to the cottage in the hopes of using the spa (we had yet to do this) but unfortunately the hot water ran out after a short while. The tub was yet to be filled....we decided to wait but no hot water after another 30 mins....epic fail!!
All in all we both enjoyed our getaway. The fun continued on the way back...we had a scrumptious breakfast followed by a visit to a local maze. With cameras in hand we set out to solve the maze clues. Needless to say, we eventually had to give up loll. After some nature snaps we set out for home. Aaaah, missing our own little world already <3
